Tangerine Taps Wearable Banking with Apple Watch App

Tangerine bank’s customers will soon be able to use their mobile banking app directly on the Apple Watch and enjoy the convenience of wearables.

Tangerine Mobile Banking Apple WatchCanadian direct bank Tangerine is all set to become one of the first developers to offer mobile banking app for the Apple Watch.

The app that will be available on all Apple wearable will allow the Tangerine account holders access to their personal banking account details, account balances and transaction details directly from their wrist.


The President and CEO of Tangerine, Peter Aceto, marked the special occasion:

“We are excited to be among the first apps that are available on Apple watch as we aim to deliver simple and innovative solutions to our clients.  Continuous innovation will only improve our reputation as a forward thinking bank that delivers the future of banking to the Canadians.”

The new Tangerine mobile banking app for Apple watch will provide flexible and convenient banking experience for people who are always on the move. Clients will be allowed to check the recent transactions in their account and set the Apple Watch to notify them of any account activity from their account. The client then will be able to get more details about the transaction or just dismiss the alert to be checked later.

The Tangerine Mobile Banking app will be available from the Apple Watch App Store from 24th April. The mobile banking app for iPhone and iPad are already available for download at their mobile App Store.
