Standard Chartered is Hiring the World’s Coolest (and Social Media Savvy) Intern to Evangelize their Breeze Solution

On 22nd September, Standard Chartered officially launched their “World’s Coolest Intern” contest.

In a nutshell, the dynamic Online and Mobile team are looking for an enthusiastic and social media savvy intern to help them promote their innovative Breeze solution (a convenient, simple, intuitive, way to bank and manage your budget, online or on mobile).

The successful candidate will manage the Breeze team’s online presence, which consists mainly of a bloga twitter accounta youtube channel, anda flickr page (no facebook page so far?).

I am delighted to join a list of happy few partnering companies which will contribute to the training of the intern. I will come to Singapore to coach the intern and share with him/her some of my insights and my recommendations on how to successfully leverage social media in the banking industry with a key focus on twitter and blogging.

I met Aman Narain, the Global Head of Internet and Mobile at Standard Chartered, for the first time in October 2008. I was then invited to speak about social media at the Retail Banking Innovation event.

We’ve kept in touch since then, and we were keen to work togetherr. Hence Aman’s invitation to contribute to this initiative.

Please find below a quote from Aman about the contest:
“This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the most innovative groups at Standard Chartered Bank – the team behind our new Breeze banking platform – and learn from some of Asia’s foremost experts on social media. We’re looking for someone as digitally and social media passionate as we are and can help take our efforts to a whole new level.”

I invite you to watch my video on Standard Chartered’s “the World’s Coolest Intern” contest.

Please call me (0044 7736 446 357), send me an email (, or DM me (@Visible_Banking).

I am keen to talk with you about twitter, customer reviews, and social media in banking, financial services, and insurance.
