Interbank Peru Invites Banking Customers Use Twitter Facebook SocialMediaBankingInterbank Peru has recently launched a new microsite, Reencuentrate, inviting Peruvians to reacquaint themselves, relax and allow more time for their passions, their fiends and family.

The campaign includes a series of YouTube videos, including ‘Atención en Facebook y Twitter – Reencuéntrate‘ or ‘Attention on Facebook and Twitter – Reacquaint’ in English.

In the last couple of years, Interbank Peru established itself as one of the most engaging LATAM banks on social media with initiatives such as its innovative approach to social customer care on facebook (the Interbank Perú page has close to 850,000 likes) and twitter (@interbank has over 40,000 followers) and its association with the online community metiempo.pe.

What do you think of this latest campaign from Interbank?  It is not that often that you see a financial institution promoting facebook and twitter to its banking customers as a way to relax.  Do you know of any other bank or insurance firm which promote the use of social media to unwind?

I invite you to share your thoughts and your best practices on social media banking here or on twitter.
