Peter Aceto, CEO of ING Direct, will keynote this week’s Social CEO’s Leadership Summit at the Social Media Week event in Vancouver and will focus on how traditional non-transparent industries like banking can take advantage of new social strategies.
Social Media Week (SMW) is a platform where information and content about the new trends in social and mobile media is shared and discussed. The event aims to advance the understanding and knowledge of the function of social media around the world.
Social Media Week Vancouver is organized yearly by various organizations namely Socialized! Agency Ltd., this year’s sponsors ING Direct and co-host BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
The Social CEO’s Leadership Summit is the highlight of the week’s events. This is where top-level executives look to the real world and business applications of social media. Apart from Peter Aceto of ING Direct other speakers include Eric Weaver, a social business strategist, and Shane Gibson, chief social officer at Socialized!.
Weaver will focus on the important task of incorporating numbers like revenue potential and return on investments to social media.
Gibson on the other hand will discuss about integrating social media in all levels of an organization, particularly from the CEOs to the rest of the workers and staff members.
There will be a lot of exciting topics throughout the week-long event. Some topics of interest are “Women in Leadership Summit”, “Old Media vs. New Media: Journalism 2012”, and “Making Social Media Work for You and Your Music”.
Who else would deliver a better keynote session about leadership, CEOs and social media than Peter Aceto – President & CEO at ING DIRECT CANADA, and one of the most engaging banking CEOs on twitter? Will you be in the room on Friday?
