BBVA‘s social media banking community tops 3.7 million members: 1 million Twitter followers and 2.7 million Facebook fans, 105 million views on youtube.
BBVA (@bbva) uses social media to improve its relationship with customers. Its position in social networks is driven by the Brand & Communication Department, New Digital Channels, Marketing Departments, Human Resources, Innovation, BBVA Research, Customer Service Unit, and many more.
New Digital Channels Department and Communication & Brand Department collaborated to develop an interactive graphics with dynamic data to summarize the activity of the BBVA community on social networks. Designed to be interactive and provide an intuitive and visual list of BBVA profiles per country, the graphics are dynamic, and are automatically updated every 24 hours.
With the use of APIs, the number of followers and fans gained, and videos viewed are provided for each and every profile. In the end, the total number and how far the numbers have increased for every social network in the last 30 days are calculated.
