Putnam Investments has recently launched its video blog to help financial advisors in expanding their social media presence. The blog also allows Putnam to gather new ideas from advisors and keep them informed of the latest applications.

The new blog of Putnam called The Advisor Tech Tips blog also uses videos and content where financial advisors can educate themselves and their clients. One of the exciting features of the blog is Infographic, where advisors can use to make investment strategies.

The blog stays true to the current efforts of Putnam to use technology especially web-based and mobile applications that can help advisors and clients to achieve their goals. An application called Penultimate allows advisors to draw certain situations on their tablets and email this to their clients.

Another interactive app known as FundVisualizer allow advisors to demonstrate the many fund options available on their mobile device and compare fund performance.

There are also features that allow advisors to create effective and optimized LinkedIn profiles to look for new clients and collect information to broaden their client lists. Videos are an important feature of the blog since advisors can use them in client meetings and make use of the other features available.
