I have been in touch with Jim for at least a year now, via twitter mainly. I was delighted to meet with him face-to-face at last.

Jim is a social media advocate at MasterCard. You can find him on linkedin and on twitter @JimIssokson. Jim also contributes to@MasterCardNews.

He and his team have two key missions:
* internally: make sure their MC colleagues better understand the potential of social media and know how to engage online with their clients. They do a great job sending daily social media updates and providing internal training.
* externally: identify their most influential advocates and detractors online (journalists, bloggers, tweeps) and build trusted relationships with them.
