The message of ‘Celebrating and Protecting Families’ is also the core part of the social media strategy that the company employs.

Like many, American Family’s strategy is a product of intensive research especially on how to implement it properly. The first thing the company did was to assess the situation and looking what benefits Pinterest can provide the company.

Then, it’s all about building a visually captivating page for the company. Of course, after building the Pinterest page it’s time to promote it and encourage interaction among customers and users.

Once the company’s page has been setup and promoted, the work does not simply stop there. American Family Insurance assessed the engagement of their customers and other users in the form of likes and repins.

Sustaining and continuing to grow is a constant challenge that every company including American Family has to keep in mind especially in social media. Content needs to be fresh and posts needs to captivate and inform customers and the regular users in order to maintain a vibrant and exciting community.
