First of all, I believe that most people apply for a bank account if
a. The bank was recommended by a friend of a person she trusts,
b. They saw an attractive offer on TV/Paper/Radio and
c. The bank’s presence in the high streets.
Nevertheless, a lot of people (especially young professionals) use Google to identify the key banks worth contacting.
I was curious to check the online visibility of the main banks. Of course, I was especially interested in Lloyds TSB.
I did a simple test which was to google “uk online banking”. Please find below the results and my comments.
There are two key indicators: the rank of the bank, and the description of its services.
Then, HSBC top the list followed by Barclays, Natwest, ukinternetbanking, and lloydsTSB.
Lloyds is the fifth bank in the list, and the sixth entry.
Please find below the descriptions of the banks which are made to urge the punter to check their services. How efficient do you think they are? Did they make an impact? I look forward to sharing my comments with you!
