Deutsche Bank became the latest financial institution to tap the smartwatch craze with the launch their mobile banking app for the Apple Watch, “Meine Bank”.
Deutsche Bank joins the likes of CommBank in Australia and Tangerine in Canada which have both recently announced new mobile banking apps for smartwatches compatible with the Apple Watch and the Android Wear timepieces.

The Apple Watch app displays up to 90 earmarked revenues and booked the last 180 days – with detailed information. Credit card transactions are displayed for the current billing month.
The app offers a full schedule of investments in the depot as stocks, bonds or commodities. There is also extensive information on price, market and performance indicators of each value.
Personal financial planners
Deutsche Bank’s new digital personal financial management service with automatic assignment of expenditure from the past three months to categories such as housing, living or traveling.
Branch and ATM search
Display up to 20 entries in the vicinity – with detailed information on the nearest branch and Cash Group and Shell Cash Service. By clicking the navigation starts to the selected destination.
Simple activation process
The app supports the new “handoff” feature of Apple. In order to activate the app is completed with three clicks.
With Voice over function
The app has a voice-over function. Thus, all menu items as balances, revenues, etc. can be read. So the German banking app is fully usable for people with low vision.
In the Watch app, the financial statement can be easily hidden with a single click and the account number to be changed.
