If it’s important to include hashtags as part of your twitter content strategy, make sure not to overkill your tweets with too many #s…

Is there any better way to start tweeting than coming to the rescue to people in extreme personal and financial situations? Like in digital marketing, make sure your call to action is as relevant and targeted as possible. And first, make sure your links work!

Unarguably hashtags are important on twitter. If you publish tweets in different languages, identify the top hashtags for those languages.

I wanted to flag this tweet from Citi to demonstrate how much progress the bank made on twitter in the last few years. Please notice the bank was using generic short urls at the beginning. They cleverly ditched them in favour of custom ones.

Social media, and twitter in particular is all about building relationships and connecting targeted content with the right audience. Aim to always add a call to action (a link), and/or a twitter handle and a hashtag.
